Location
Grishneshwar, or Ghrushneshwar, is one of three Jyotirlingas in the Maharashtra state – the other two are Trayamabakeswar and Bhimashankar. Grishneshwar is the smallest Jyotirlinga and is considered the last or the 12th Jyotirlinga of India.
Grishneshwar is located in the village Verul and is less than a kilometre from Ellora caves. It is approx. 30 km from the Aurangabad city, and about 300 km from Mumbai.
You can visit Ajanta and Ellora Caves, the UNESCO world heritage sites, while your trip to Ghrishneshwar. Ajanta is approx 100 km from the Grishneshwar temple, and you can take a cab from Ellora caves or Aurangabad city. How to reach
Aurangabad airport is 30 km from the Grishneshwar temple. From the airport, you can take a taxi to the temple.
Nearest railway station is Manmad, which is approximately 110 km from the Grishneshwar temple. Aurangabad station is not in the main route. You can take a private taxi or Ola outstation from the Manmad railway station.
It is well connected with all major cities of the state by Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) buses.
